SILSSA is the Student Association for the Pratt SILS community, as well as the Student branch of the ALA for Pratt– If you’re an enrolled student at Pratt SILS, you’re already a member of SILSSA!
Here’s a quick overview of what we’ve got coming up:
Join us Friday August 28th from 7-11pm at Interference Archive for their event “Singing the Archive and Jam.” This event is part of their exhibition called “if a song could be freedom…Organized Sounds of Resistance,” an examination of the relationship between music and political organizing. Jeremy Thal and and A’yen Tran will be hosting the singalong, with an open acoustic jam to follow.
This is a great opportunity to check out Interference Archive’s collection while celebrating the beginning of the semester and getting to know some of your new SILSSA officers! We’ll be meeting at The Owl Farm pub around 6:00 PM for a quick drink before joining the festivities, but drop in whenever you’re free.
Hope to see you there!
